Annie Goh and Marie Thompson: Sounding the Great Hall

Annie Goh and Marie Thompson will be participating in Contingent Events’ Sounding the Great Hall event (2nd-3rd July). Over the course of 2 days, artists will explore the acoustics of the Great Hall via an unusual 8-speaker system. Annie and Marie will use this as an opportunity to workshop some of  their preliminary research for their ‘Muzak for Loitering’ project.

Annie Goh is an artist, researcher and educator working primarily with sound, space, gender and electronic media and their social and cultural contexts. Currently based in London and Berlin, she is a lecturer at Berlin University  of Arts and a PhD student at Goldsmiths University, London. She has guest curated at the discourse program of CTM Festival, Berlin since 2013. Annie is       an associate of the ESP research group. More about her work can be found here.
